| Food Drive WinnersThank you to everyone who helped make our food drive a huge success! Class winners are Ms. Nelson's Class Mrs. Ames' Class Congratulations!! | Stay Healthy this WinterThe peak of the cold and flu season is upon us. To prevent widespread illness in the school, we recommend that your child stay home from school if experiencing flu or cold symptoms. To decide whether or not to send your child to school, please consider the following guidelines: Consider keeping your child at home for an extra day of rest and observation if he or she has any of the following symptoms: - Very stuffy or runny nose and/or cough
- Mild sore throat (no fever, no known exposure to strep)
- Headache
- Stomach ache
Definitely keep your child at home for treatment and observation if he or she has any of these symptoms: - Fever (greater than 100.1 degrees and your child may return to school only after his or her temperature has been consistently below 100 degrees, by mouth, for a minimum of 24 hours)
- Vomiting (even once)
- Diarrhea
- Chills
- General malaise or feelings of fatigue, discomfort, weakness or muscle aches
- Frequent congested (wet) or croupy cough
To help prevent the flu and other colds, follow these healthy habits: - Wash hands frequently
- Do not touch eyes, nose or mouth
- Cover mouth and nose when sneezing or coughing, use a paper tissue, throw it away and then wash hands
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
***Classrooms appreciate donations of tissues, hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes. These can be dropped off in the office at any time. Thank you for helping make this winter as healthy as possible. | School photos are inSchool Picture Retakes - Thursday, December 7
If your child missed Picture Day on October 25, or would like to have their photo retaken, school picture retakes will take place the morning of Thursday, December 7. If you already ordered photos but your child wasn't at school on picture day, you don't need to do anything. Your child will have their picture taken December 7. If your child is having retakes, please have them bring their original photo packet to school on December 7 to return to the photographers. There is no cost for retakes unless you are planning to keep the original photo packet too, in which case you will need to place another order for the new photos using the link below. If you would like to order photos for the December 7th date, you can use this link: https://v2.myproimages.com/kids-photography-2111/code/SLEFALL23 If you order from the link above, a photo will be taken of your student on December 7. These orders must be made by 10pm the day BEFORE picture day. The link above is not for the original photos that were taken October 25. If you would like to order more of the original photos, please use the form enclosed in the photo packet you will receive this week.
