Hello!  My name is Mrs. Mitchell and I am a first grade teacher at Mukilteo Elementary. This is my 18th year here and my 23rd year teaching first grade in the Mukilteo School District. I feel very honored to be a part of such an incredible school community! Here is a little about me... I grew up in the small town of Chehalis, Washington with my parents and a younger brother. After high school, I went to the University of Washington and graduated with a BA in 1999. I then went on to obtain my teaching certificate from Seattle Pacific University. I received my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from SPU in 2004. I am married to Steve, who I met in high school, and we live in the Mukilteo area with our twelve year-old son Benjamin, our nine year-old son Beckett, and our little dog Bella. Outside of school, I enjoy shopping, teaching step aerobics, reading, watching sports and movies, and spending time with my family and friends.
