    Raz Kids A-Z: The award-winning website where K-5 students go to read — anytime, anywhere! Kids can log onto Raz-Kids by using our class username: mbatie0 and their school password. Within Raz-Kids students choose a story to listen to, read, and take a comprehension quiz. As students complete books at their A-Z level, they can Level Up by passing all the books on their library shelf! 

    Vooks: Their website describes Vooks as "A kid-safe, ad-free streaming library of read-aloud animated storybooks. Enjoyed by millions of children every week, trusted by parents, and loved by teachers." I couldn't agree more! The kids love watching some of their favorite books and new books come to life! Their parent resource page has free online books, with activities and comprehension questions as well. 

    Storyline Online: Streamed videos faturing celebrated actors reading children's books alongside ullustrations. Each book includes supplementary curriculum developed by a credentialed elementary educator, to strengthen comprehension and verbal and written skills for English-language learners. 

    Barnes & Noble Nook eBooks: Barnes & Noble has hundreds of free eBooks to read on your Nook, included over a dozen subjects and a variety of genres.

    Reading & Language Arts

    ABCya: A website full of educational games designed to have children learn while they are having fun. Games are categorized by grade and subject, and cover topics such as parts of speech, typing, pattern recognition, and drawing. Signup at a Free Subscriber to access all regular games on a desktop, ABCya videos, and 6 mobile games a week! 

    Starfall: Starfall specializes in reading, phonics, and math using educational games, movies, books, songs, and more. You can play dozens of games for free without creating an account. There is also a free Parent-Teacher Resource page.

    Magic Tree House Kids: Join Jack and Annie on incredible missions traveling around the world and through time! 

    Vocabulary Spelling City: Select the Free categiry to access some spelling and vocabulary games.

    Grammar Ninja: Complete beginner, skilled, and master missions to find nouns, verbs, pronouns, articles, adjectives, and adverbs in sentences!

    Phonics Blooms: Interactive online phonics games to teach students the relationship between letters and sounds. There are 6 Phases, starting with letter sound matching up to spelling rules with suffixes. This is great for beginning readers or students working on spelling pattern recognition.

    Math

    Mega Math: Math games from our Math Expressions curriculum in six different collections: Country Countdown, Fraction Action, Ice Station Exploration, Shapes Ahoy, The Number Games, and Numberopolis. In our class we primarily focus on skills found in Country Countdown, Shapes Ahoy, and Numberopolis. *this site works best on Internet Explorer* 

    Xtra Math: A math fact fluency program to master addition and subtraction. These are building blocks for math education, and are essential for success in multidigit algorithms and higher level math. The activites are simple and straight forward, and take only a few minutes each day! 

    Prodigy: Curriculum-aligned math games for kids in grades 1-8. The games adapt in difficulty to suit your child's learning style and grade level, so they get personalized math content based on their strengths and weaknesses. Children are learning in an engaging and effective way that builds confidence in solving challenging math problems. 

    Science

    Mystery Science: Online scince lessons designed to engage students, including short mini-lessons that are completely digital or full lessons that include a hands-on activity. We've used this in class and the students enjoy exploring science concepts that are usually not accessible in the standard classroom. 

    The Magic School Bus: Experience the beloved series from home with online books, experiements, and printables! Netflix also has an orignal series, The Magic School Bus Rides Again. 

    NASA Kids Club: A safe place for children to play as they learn about NASA and its missions. The games support standards in STEM - science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

    PebbleGo: The award winning PreK-3 database for reading and research. PebbleGo make learning and improving reading and research skills fun! This site is simple to navigate and offers key reading supports such as read-along audio and word-by-word highlighting. PebbleGo offers a wide range of high-interest fiction and nonfiction reading materials.
