    Rehearsal information:
Orchestra meets every scheduled day when school starts at the normal time.
If schools have a late start due to weather conditions, we will not have Orchestra class that day.

The Fairmount Orchestra meets in the Fairmount Elementary Music Room on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:45-8:30.

The Serene Lake/Picnic Point Orchestra meets in the Picnic Point Elementary Music Room on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:45-8:30. A bus will return the Serene Lake students back to their school for the day.

The book we use is titled String Basics. It can be bought online or at a local music store. Be sure to get the book specific to your instrument.

Registration for orchestra is done through ParentSquare. If families are having difficulty finding where to register in ParentSquare, maybe  this Google form is easier. Please feel free to email Judy Heminger at hemingerjl@mukilteo.wednet.edu for additional assistance. Also, each school's music teacher should have information and can help.

Need an instrument? Families are invited to rent an instrument from a strings specialty store like Hammond Ashley or Bischofberger Violins. They have similar prices and often have higher quality instruments that are easier and more fun to play. Local stores such as Kennelly Keys, or Music & Arts have online instrument rentals.
Mukilteo School District wants everyone to be able to participate and has some instruments that are available for families to borrow on a first come-first served basis. Requesting a free instrument is done on the registration form.
