Use your clip-on lens and a phone or tablet to look at things up close. Attach the lens to your phone or tablet, then help your child to hold the phone or tablet very close to (but not touching) the thing you want to look at. Try looking at things like:

    • Your toys
    • Different types of clothing or fabric
    • Things printed on paper
    • Your hair or your fingers
    • Bugs or plants outside

Rules for 1st and 2nd Grade:

Insert the slide into the Foldscope. Make sure that light can pass through the Foldscope. Look directly through the lens, or follow the directions to attach your Foldscope to a phone or tablet camera. Visit foldscope.com for help with using your microscope and ideas of what to look at.
