2022 LEVY PROPOSITIONS
Mukilteo School District Board of Directors approved resolutions during their November 22 board meeting to place two levy resolutions on the Feb. 8, 2022, election ballot: a Replacement Educational Programs Levy and a Capital Projects Levy for technology and facilities. Thanks to voters, both propositions passed.
Replacement Capital Projects Levy for technology and facilities - informational mailer
A capital levy provides money for facilities and technology needs that a bond and the state do not fund. The measure on the February ballot was approved by voters to renew funding for a replacement capital projects levy that will run for six years beginning in 2023 and continue through 2028.
Funds collected through the levy are being used to modernize technology systems throughout the school district, such as student and staff computers and classroom presentation equipment (ActivPanels, document cameras).
Funds are also being used for essential facility needs to ensure ongoing operations and safe learning environments, such as upgrading and replacing security cameras and essential building system components for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire panels, etc.
