Olympic View Middle School Gymnasium

  • The project to modernize the gymnasium at Olympic View Middle School got underway in June 2016 with the demolition of the school’s old gymnasium building and was completed before school started before school started in the fall of 2017. The new facility provides a new gym and auxiliary gym, a cardio/weight room, locker rooms, and five classrooms, as well as a band room, choir room, rehearsal rooms, instrument and uniform storage, and a music library for the school’s music program. The main gym includes bleacher seating for 850 people.

The project was designed by McGranahan Architects of Tacoma and the contract to construct the facility was awarded to Cornerstone General Contractors of Bothell.

Additional details about the project can be found in a presentation that was given to the school board in October 2015. Here is a link to that presentation.
