Degrees and Certifications:
1997 Bachelor of Arts University of Washington 2005 Master of Education
I have been teaching since the 1997-1998 school year. I began my teaching career in Fort Worth, Texas. After teaching kindergarten as a long-term substitute, I taught 3rd grade for several years. Then, I moved to Seattle and began working for the Mukilteo School District in 2001. Since then, I have taught Special Education, ELL, 3rd, 4th, and kindergarten. I am currently an English Learner teacher at Fairmount Elementary School.
I love my job! I graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology. My job gives me the wonderful opportunity to meet and work with people who speak many languages and are from different cultures all over the world.
Dear Fairmount English Learners,
Ms. Doud and I miss you very much! You bring such joy to us every day. We miss your smiles, your stories, curiosity, and your laughter. We hope this year's 5th graders will come back and visit us in the future. We look forward to seeing our 1st through 4th graders in September. Of course, in September you will be 2nd through 5th graders. Wow!
We wish you and your families good health and happiness.
