Degrees and Certifications:
MA Education, Lesley University BA Elementary Education, Western Washington University with a Minor in Early Childhood Education
Hello! I would like to introduce myself, my name is Michelle Ratliff. This is my 16th year teaching Kindergarten in the Mukilteo School District. Prior to teaching Kindergarten, I taught preschool for 5 years in the Shoreline School District. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Education with a Minor in Early Childhood Education through Western Washington University, my Master’s Degree in Education and Creative Arts and Learning through Lesley University, and my Professional Certification through Seattle Pacific University. Currently I am taking Continuing Education classes.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband Dan, my 11 year old daughter Kalia, my 6 year old son Kannon, our cat Maisey, and our two dogs Molly and Danielle. As a family we enjoy spending time outdoors and relaxing in the sun. Once a year we take a family trip to the island of Kauai and ejoying hiking and exploring the beach. I also love to do all types of crafts including cake decorating and card making.
I am excited for all of the adventures that our new school year brings! I am looking forward to working with you and your child this year and helping them achieve their full potential. I believe Kindergarten is one of the most important grades in school because it is a child's first experience of school and it is where they get excited about learning. I will do my best to create a memorable and enjoyable first year in school for your child.
I look forward to meeting and working with all of you! Let me know if you have any questions or if there is anything I can help you with!
Thank you for your support!
