Ms. Julie Harris
Principal
It is with great excitement and honor that I’ve been given the opportunity to lead the Pathfinder community. I come to Pathfinder with experience and understanding of the Mukilteo School District and with several of our elementary schools who Pathfinder serves, having served as the assistant principal at Olivia Park and Lake Stickney Elementaries the last five years. My experience as an educator also includes teaching primary grades as a classroom teacher, special education teacher, teacher in a highly capable program, and teaching and growing school staff as an instructional coach.
I have a strong passion and commitment to helping our youngest students in the district develop a love for school and learning. As a kindergarten center, we have a unique opportunity and ability to provide an exceptional first learning experience that is safe, welcoming, and targeted towards students’ developmental needs and readiness. I’m looking forward to leading with this continued commitment and creating a truly remarkable first year of school for your child.
In addition to my love for education, outside of work I look forward to spending time with my family of 5, having welcomed our newest addition, our son, this spring. We enjoy being active and seeking out new experiences that we can share together.
I’m looking forward to the year ahead and welcoming the class of 2035 and their families to our special and spectacular community!

Miss Melissa Walker
Dean of Students
As a child, I grew up in the Mukilteo School District. I knew I wanted to be part of the same community as an educator. I taught fifth grade for 16 years in the district. During that time, I worked at Horizon and Odyssey Elementary. While watching my son learn through imaginative play in preschool, I decided to make a change so I could work with younger students. In 2017, I became the Dean of Students at Pathfinder Kindergarten Center, which was the same year my son started kindergarten. We frequently told our friends that we started kindergarten together! One of my goals is to help our students develop a love for learning. I want students to understand the endless possibilities that come with attending school every day!
