COVID-19/Bus disinfection information
Mukilteo School District Transportation's mission is to provide safe, timely and cheerful transportation to our community’s youth. Buses are the safest manner of transportation to and from school. Following the guidelines provided by the CDC, Department of Health, and OSPI (Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction), this will remain true.
The COVID-19 tab to the left has information detailing our plans to accomplish this.
Friday Learning Improvement Time (LIT) Schedule
Every Friday all Mukilteo schools are dismissed 1 hour 15 minutes early.

McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Act
The McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Act (MKV) of 1987 provides support for homeless children and youth to continue their education without interruption or barriers. If your family is homeless, or if you are in a temporary living situation due to economic circumstances, your preschool-aged and school-aged children have certain rights or protections under federal law.
MKV defines homeless children as "individuals who lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence." Such as children and youth living in shared housing, motels, trailer parks, campgrounds, cars, parks, public spaces, or any non-typical situation due to loss of housing, economic hardship, or a similar reason.
Under this, transportation to and from a student's school of origin is provided to students experiencing homelessness at a parent or guardian's request (or liaison's request for unaccompanied youth).
