Friday Blurb

  • Dear Mukilteo School District families,

    Meals, menus, and mobile routes
Starting Monday, March 23, several mobile meal routes will be added to the existing seven meal locations. Please see attached flyer or the family resources webpage for details.
Staff are also serving a hot meal option at the meal sites. Menus are online. If your child has a food allergy and needs an alternative lunch, please call the Food and Nutrition Department at 425-356-1212.

    Playgrounds
County and city playgrounds have closed. While schools don’t have a way to physically close school playgrounds, we strongly encourage you and your family to avoid using the school playground equipment and maintain social distancing guidelines if you are on school property. Walking, hiking and biking are still great activities to do in local parks and in neighborhoods.

    Technology access survey
We’ve received nearly 5,000 responses to the survey and so far, most families report having internet access at home. Of the responses received, about 15 percent of students do not have consistent access to a computing device such as a laptop, tablet or desktop computer.

Technology staff are prepping laptops to distribute to high school seniors as needed in support of meeting graduation requirements. Watch for more information soon about pick-up dates and locations. We expect further guidance from OSPI early next week about graduation requirements for the class of 2020.

If you’ve not yet completed the technology survey, there is still time. You can access the survey online or, if you don’t have internet access or a computing device, you can call 425-366-2100 and a staff member will manually enter your information.

Have a restful weekend and enjoy the sunshine. You’ll hear from us again next week.

    Sincerely,
    Mukilteo School District
