We value the importance of gathering thoughts, input and feedback from students, parents, staff and community members as part of the fall planning process.
Gathering thoughts, input and feedback from students, parents, staff and community members is an important part of the fall planning process. On June 25, Superintendent Brynelson met with Key Communicators who represent a parent voice from each school and includes school parent liaisons. View Key Communicator meeting notes. The district PTA Coalition also conducted a survey and shared the results with the superintendent.
Workgroups are also processing the family survey results gathered in May in addition to emails sent to the superintendent and the school board about reopening schools. They are also reviewing results from the ThoughtExchange throughout the process and will take a deeper dive after the exchange closes July 15.
We want to hear from you!
Your voice is critical in planning for reopening schools this fall. To help gather thoughts from students, parents, staff and community partners, we are using a tool called ThoughtExchange. The platform allows participants to enter multiple thoughts, concerns and questions and then review and rate thoughts shared by others. It is available in any language supported by Google Translate. The exchange process and evolving results will be visible for anyone to explore. The results will help inform work groups’ draft recommendations for re-opening schools this fall.
Please share your thoughts and return often. The more people participate, the more thoughts there will be to review and rate and the more comprehensive the results. Invite your child(ren) to participate!
The exchange will be open through midnight on Wednesday, July 15. Thank you for taking a few moments to let us know what is most important to you as we plan what school will look like in September.
As of July 13, over 3,700 people have participated in the exchange, shared nearly 5,300 thoughts, which have garnered over 192,300 ratings.
