School buses are inspected by the Washington State Patrol two times a year. There is an unscheduled inspection of 25 % of the fleet in the winter. In the spring 100% of the bus fleet and motor pool is inspected.
The inspections are detailed and go from tailpipe to headlights, both inside and outside of the bus. Mukilteo has earned Outstanding Washington State Patrol School Bus Inspection for 30+ consecutive years.
