New Contract Tracing and Nurse Hotline Service
NEW CONTACT TRACING AND NURSE HOTLINE SERVICE
The district has contracted with an outside company to provide illness tracking, contact tracing services for students who test positive for COVID-19 or who are identified as close contacts of a person who tested positive. Those services will be available to families at Pathfinder Kindergarten Center as we continue to implement it districtwide over the coming weeks.
Starting Monday morning, Jan. 10, if your child tests positive for COVID or is a close contact, you will receive a phone call, text message or email from Healthcare IT Leaders. The incoming phone number will appear local with a 425 prefix and the caller will identify themselves as a Mukilteo School District contact tracing team member. Please rest assured your information is confidential and shared only with the necessary school district staff. You may want to add firstname.lastname@example.org to your email safe senders list to ensure you don’t miss a message that went to your spam folder.
Healthcare IT Leaders also provides COVID-related nurse support by phone, including evenings and weekends. If you need to report your child’s illness, a positive COVID result for your child, or if you have a question about your child’s symptoms, quarantine guidance, return to school date, or another COVID-related topic, you can reach a nurse from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, 12 to 5 p.m. on Saturdays, and 3 to 7 p.m. on Sundays. If they are helping another caller, please leave a message and they will return your call. The nurse hotline phone number is 425-366-7745.
Please report all symptoms including sore throat, headache, runny nose or congestion, unusual fatigue, muscle or body aches, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, fever, cough, loss of sense of taste and/or smell, shortness of breath or chills, to the nurse hotline. We encourage families to use the nurse hotline at any hour. The nurses working the hotline number will be the ones to clear your child to return to school. Please provide the nurse hotline with updates regarding your child’s negative or positive test results. Communication is constant between school building nurse and the nurse hotline.
Please report your child’s absence as you normally would to school and request a homework packet to pick up if your child will be out for 10 days.
Healthcare IT Leaders provides these services to companies, colleges and school districts across the nation, and we are excited to have their expertise and services to help staff better meet the needs of our families.
