Registration underway for secondary Summer School classes.

Middle school and high school students interested in attending Summer School this year can register online at the Summer School website through Friday, June 21. The Summer School sessions will be held at Voyager Middle School from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. beginning on Monday, July 8 through Friday, August 2. Limited bus routes are available and free breakfast and lunch will be served.

 

The middle school Summer School program will include integrated block classes in English/language arts, math, and Growth Mindset. Students also can take Washington state history, language acquisition, elite fitness, and introduction to high school.

 

High school Summer School students can take English/language arts, language acquisition, Algebra 1 and geometry, Washington state history, elite fitness, and SAT/ACT prep. Students who received a failing grade or did not receive credit in a high school course also can take online credit recovery courses.

 

Elementary students also can attend Summer School at Challenger Elementary from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. beginning on Monday, July 8 through Friday, August 2. Attendance is by invitation and will include literacy skills, math and science activities, get up and move, and visits to the library. Classes in language acquisition and introduction to middle school also will be available.

 

Students who have been invited to attend elementary Summer School have until June 1 to turn in their completed registration form.
