Voyager Clubs and Activities News
Clubs have started and there are some new activities are coming for Voyager Students! Take a gander at this amazing list of clubs and activities!
All clubs will be done virtually using distance learning, but are 100% about learning new skills, having fun with friends, and getting connected to students with a similar interest. Clubs are open to students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. All you need to do is either contact your counselor or go to your counselor's Schoology page for more information or simply use the codes below to access the Schoology Group for that club. Enjoy!
STEAM LAB: Students will learn their choice of coding, 3D printing, laser cutting and solving Rubik’s cubes. Students can also learn and play chess. Activities will be available in a synchronous or asynchronous format. Open to ALL students. Drop in any Tuesday.
Day/Time: Tuesdays from 1:30-2:30pm

VOYAGER PRIDE ALLIANCE: Pride Club is a GSA (Gender and Sexuality Alliance) club open to all students. The focus is advocacy, education, and support of LGBTQ+ students and allies. Pride supports the emotional and mental health and well-being of our students through adult and peer support. Everyone is welcome to attend regardless of identity.
Day/Time: Tuesdays 1:00-2:00pm

HELPING HANDS: Helping Hands is a peer led support and problem-solving group. If you like helping others solve their problems, join the group. You will also build organizational skills, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
Day/Time: Tuesdays, 1:00-1:45pm

S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Club: S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Club stands for Students Using Creativity, Compassion, Empathy & Study Skills. It is a fun place for students to get help with academic challenges as well as make connections with peers through games & activities that support social/emotional well-being.
Day/Time: Tuesdays and Thursdays 2-3PM.

The following activities are being provided now and in the future to students who want to participate in learning outside the classroom. These activities provide another outlet and place for students to connect to school.
ART CONTESTS: 8th graders or all students above the age of 13 are encouraged to participate in outside art contests. In this virtual year, all art contests we participate in are going forward. Scholastics has provided Zoom meetings and virtual office hours for parents and teachers.

SCIENCE FAIR: Students will have the opportunity to complete an investigation of their choosing and then present it to others in a culminating science fair. We will go over the scientific process, materials needed, and how to present their results.
