Thank you all for your flexibility this week. There have been many changes with preparations for in-person learning beginning on Monday, April 12th. If you are in-person, please contact the OP office and let them know how your child will arrive and leave school each day. This will greatly improve our ability to make arrival and dismissal times more efficient. You can reach the office at 425.366.3300.
Zoomers… (or online distance students)
Please have sign-in to Zoom and Schoology at 9:00 am. I will be greeting in-person students (roomers) at the same time, so there may be additional wait time before class begins. A morning work assignment will be posted in Schoology. As always, click the week work folder to open the day’s work folder. The morning work assignment will be posted. Video instructions have been included but if there is an issue or question, you may have your child read using Raz-kids or Epic. Both will be linked in the assignment along with usernames and passwords. As I am ready, I will open the meeting and begin class. For the beginning days, please expect some delays. Zoomers will have breaks at 10:00 am and 10:50 am. They will end around 11:45 am. Supply pick-up is scheduled for Wednesday, April 14th 3:00pm to 5:30pm. There are small items in the science bags that could be a choking hazard for younger children. Please help your child find a safe spot to keep until ready to use.
Roomers… (in-person students)
Please make sure attestation forms and temperature have been completed before arrival. This will assist in less wait times for drop-off and class start time. If you are in-person, please contact the OP office and let them know how your child will arrive and leave school each day. You can reach the office at 425.366.3300. Students with a Good-to-Go pass will be directed to the classroom. As they arrive, they will turn in their pass, wash hands, unpack and login to Schoology to begin morning work. As we expect start delays, we will begin once most students have arrived. Mask breaks are scheduled for 10:00 am and 10:50 am. Students may use bathroom between 9:15 am and 11:30 am. Students are encouraged to use during non-instructional times, but exceptions are made for emergencies. There is no eating or drinking in the classroom. Students are permitted to drink water during mask breaks. Water fountains at school are not available, so students may bring their own water bottles. These must be returned home and filled at home. Water access will only be available for handwashing. At 11:40 am, roomers will begin to pack-up for dismissal. Supplies will be sent home on Tuesday, April 13th. Please help your child find a safe spot to keep until ready to use.
Most assignments will be started during class and will need to be finished in the afternoon. Additional independent assignments for Science and Social Studies will be posted in Schoology. Please watch instruction and lesson videos before attempting work. For now, I will be suspending office help hours in the afternoon. Please message me with questions until I can restart the office hours. Specialist time is moving to the afternoon. Specialist will now meet on Tuesdays and Fridays @ 1:30-2:00pm. Afternoon groups will continue as usual unless otherwise notified.
