Please join us on Monday, October 7, 6-7 p.m. when district superintendent and safety and security team will discuss the recent trend of social media threats, how we respond to them and how families can help. The event will be offered as a Zoom webinar with time for questions. The webinar will be recorded and shared with families after the event. |

Disability Awareness Month event

In recognition of Disability Awareness and History Month, the district is hosting a free movie night for families! We hope you can join us for a viewing of Intelligent Lives with a brief discussion to follow the movie. Feel free to bring a pillow or blanket and a snack.

Mukilteo School District offers free breakfast daily for all students. There are several benefits to starting out the day with a healthy breakfast:
- Breakfast helps children pay attention, perform problem-solving tasks, and improves memory.
- Eating breakfast as a child is important for establishing healthy habits for later in life.
- School breakfast provides daily servings of fruit, whole grains, and milk, plus roughly ¼ the recommended calories needed for lasting energy.

400 musicians in the making

Over 400 fifth graders from across the district are signed up to participate in the band and orchestra programs, the highest participation yet!
More than 200 of the students will use an instrument provided by the district. However, due to the record participation this year, the program is completely out of full-size violins and percussion sets. If you have a new or gently used violin or percussion set you are willing to donate, please email Judy Heminger at hemingerjl@mukilteo.wednet.edu.
The band and orchestra programs are always accepting donations of new or gently used instruments, so please help us spread the word to your friends and family!
